Heath said: "When I am in Zagreb, I often stop by Algoritam Bookstore near the entrance to Hotel Dubrovnik on Gajeva street. They have a good selection of English language books and magazines. One can find everything from new releases, classic fiction and other popular works of fiction, to history, science, language, art, regional studies, etc. Their travel section isn't bad. Algoritam has some publication in Croatian and periodicals in several languages. If I recall correctly they have a decent music section and offer some video games."

The bookstore at Gajeva (located just a bit north of the most famous square in Zagreb - Trg Bana Jelacic) is the main and, at the same time biggest, location of Algoritam bookstores. It used to be the only place in Zagreb where you could get foreign language books. The Gajeva location spreads on two floors and you can find almost anything that comes to your mind. They also have a lovely children's corner filled with toys on the ground floor.

Algoritam Multimedia Bookshop is a bookstore chain operating in Croatia. They specialize in both foreign and domestic literature, language learning (English, German, French, Spanish, etc.), dictionaries, domestic and foreign magazines, movies (both VHS and DVDs), music and video games. They operate all over Croatia (in Zagreb, Osijek, Split, Pula, Dubrovnik and Varazdin).
